guess who got to meet maggie stiefvater today!!!
gosh, she’s the coolest and nerdiest author i’ve ever met
some highlights from the stuff she (and a panel of other authors) talked about:
– after TRC, she thought that she would never write a series again and that she’d stick to stand-alone novels but hoo boy she was wrong, with the ronan trilogy in the works and all.
– she says that she’s basically suffering from having to plan out and write the trilogy but haha, she’s just kidding, she’s having a lot of fun with it
– she forgot what her 9th goat is called
– her experience during the birth of her first child is that she was absolutely terrified
– she says that the gangsey is essentially made up of her – and i quote – “scholarly me, rebel me, dead me.”
– her friend once read her a ronan/gansey fanfic and she could not look at the gear shift of her camaro the same way ever since
and she said a lot of neat stuff about world-building and tips for writers and yeah, stiefvater is one cool bean
