Honestly the amount of people who think Neil and Matt are dating is probably ridiculous. Then there are those risky people that think Neil, Matt, and Dan are in a polyamorous relationship.
Neil is so confused when someone asks about his boyfriend and he’s like “how did you know Andrew and I are together?”
Imagine Neil accidentally making it worse too by obliviously adding fuel to the Brosten ship. Like a daring fan comes up to him and asks about his boyfriend and poor, oblivious Neil just casually says “he’s good but he forgot to buy more cat food”
Neil doesn’t stop Matt from hugging him anymore and Matt goes out of his way to do things for Neil and one day someone overhears Matt calling Neil his soulmate. It’s just a huge mess when a reporter asks Neil how Matt’s doing and Neil’s like “well he and Dan just got engaged so that’s p good” and everybody’s like “what when did you guys break up” and Neil’s like “what I never dated Matt I’m with Andrew I thought you guys knew this”
