Neil is such an unreliable narrator sometimes. When he and Andrew start “casually” hooking up in TKM, Neil’s justification for it is that he’ll be gone by the end of the semester and at least Andrew wouldn’t expect much else from him. But then Neil goes out of his way to gauge how much Andrew actually likes him? He thinks of Andrew as his home? He parrots back Nicky’s definition of his love for Erik by saying how he can lean on Andrew and never fear that it’s going to be too much? Like, Neil my man, what part of that sounds like a causal, no strings attached hookup?
