  • neil takes history classes his second year at palmetto
  • neil was never bad at history, but it’s never really interested him before
  • his degree only requires one history credit, so he chooses european history
  • he mostly uses the class to work on his math work sheets and barely pays attention
  • until he gets his first test back with a 35 on the top and thinks “oh shit”
  • so he goes to kevin
  • “i need your help with history” neil says
  • kevin looks immediately suspicious
  • kevin learned pretty quick that no one wanted to hear him talk about his major, so he’s understandingly weary when someone acts like they want to hear him talk
  • but neil just looks at him and finally kevin sighs and gestures for neil’s note cards
  • kevin can talk for hours and hours about history if prompted the right way, but he scales it back for neil
  • “have you been taking notes?” kevin asks
  • “well…no…” neil says
  • kevin just rolls his eyes and resists the urge to smack neil on the back of his head
  • instead he pulls out his old notes from the class, all color coded and neatly filed, and hands them to neil
  • it actually becomes kind of nice
  • they get together once a week and kevin helps neil go through his homework and study for his tests
  • neil even starts asking kevin about random bits of history when they’re just hanging out in the dorm
  • just, kevin being able to talk about history with someone who doesn’t shut him down please and thank you

I saw all those cute fox themed clothes, and I just had to! So here’s Neil wearing a fox hat with hand warmers (´∀`)♡ Maybe Dan and Matt got it for him?!

I don’t know if I have the strenght to draw Andrew next… (*´_ゝ`) Haaa…

I hope everyone enjoy this! ₍₍ (ง ˙ω˙)ว ⁾⁾ I worked very hard on this!

@merrkkat I’m tagging you as promised! (๑´•ω • `๑) I was kind of inspired by your drawing of Neil in a kigurumi! Sorry I took so long!

menace-minyard:

you know what I think about a lot? Kevin being a total Big Brother towards Neil.

  • Kevin rustling Neil’s hair after he does something right
  • Kevin heartily smacking Neil’s back with a giant grin on his face after Neil shoots an awesome goal
  • Kevin and Neil shoving each other’s faces lightly on camera with happy smiles after winning yet another game
  • Kevin calling Neil a loser after Neil does something silly/stupid
  • Kevin standing in front of Neil with his arms crossed after some dick tries to get in Neil’s face
  • Kevin throwing the nearest object at Neil after Neil says something offensive to him but purposely missing because he doesn’t want to actually hit him
  • Kevin pulling Neil in for a giant bearhug after Neil has a breakdown (and Andrew isn’t around to comfort him)
  • Neil sending Kevin a stupid meme and Kevin replying with “why are you like this”
  • KEVIN CALLING NEIL “KID”
  • Kevin drunk-texting Neil saying “i kno i yell at u alot but i still lov u”
  • Neil texts back “I know, Kevin.”
  • Neil telling Kevin that he’s going to try something new and Kevin responds with “I know you can do it.”
  • Kevin calling Neil frequently and Neil jabbering about his adventures with Andrew and Kevin smiling while listening to how happy this boy and being so proud of all and how much he’s accomplished

THE PALMETTO STATE FOXES: NEIL ABRAM JOSTEN, #10.

Neil’s name was scrawled across the front in black marker. Neil thought about flipping the folder open, but what was the point? The man this coach had researched so carefully wasn’t real and wouldn’t exist much longer. In five weeks Neil would graduate and in six he’d be someone else somewhere very far away from here. It didn’t matter how much he liked being Neil Josten. He’d stayed here too long as it was. Neil should be used to this by now. He’d spent the last eight years on the run, spinning lie after lie to leave a twisted trail behind him. Twenty-two names stood between him and the truth, and he knew what would happen if anyone finally connected the dots. Signing with a college team meant more than standing still. It meant he’d be stepping into a spotlight. The math was simple, but that didn’t make this any easier. That contract was a one-way ticket to a future, something Neil could never have, and he wanted it so badly he ached.
