Longevity of KAT-TUN
N: Tbh, I never thought KAT-TUN could last this long.
U: Hold on! When did you have that thought?
N: From the beginning. We were told by the agency that we could do anything we wanted, and yea, things ended up like that eventually.
Students: *laugh*
N: For example, when we sang the last song during live and I looked around at the members thinking this could be the last time I’m seeing this view and that made me cry.
U/K: Woah, we never knew that.

The bond
U: Going through the same ordeal thrice had me thinking what exactly is the meaning of friends. From 6nin to 5nin, ofc we were upset about the leaving of that member, but then we developed a stronger bond at the same time. Little did we know, someone left yet again; which made me wonder what happened to all those talks we had before. Eventually, we decided to move on as 4nin after much consideration. At that moment, I honestly thought nothing would change from then on, but someone left again. I really felt that was the last straw for me, emotionally wise. These experiences made me wonder just how should I deal with people in the best way possible.

Nakamaru sensei’s lecture – In the face of adversity, just slack.
N: Slack might sound unpleasant, but humans tend to become anxious when we are facing adversity, right? More often than not, we would end up thinking negatively about the situation. If that’s the case, it’s better to not think about anything at all. Because when you finally regained your composure, you might just find the answer eventually.

N: When I looked back at the past, I realized I was always anxious whenever someone left. I worried that I would have to work harder to compensate the absence of the member and the pressure to put the fans at ease that we were still doing well then. But when we entered the recharging period where I regained my composure, I thought those efforts were rather futile. We had had so many meetings to finally come to a conclusion that a recharging period would be appropriate before we returned as a group.
