Andrew holding on to Neil’s clothing is my Fave Thing™ so let’s just expand on that 

  • he still always grabs at Neil’s hoodie, esp the neckline
    • what a gr8 way to get Neil’s attention bc he doesn’t have to bother with words and also? Now Neil’s looking him? double win.
    • (also this is #content for a whole other post but consider, if you will, selectively mute Andrew.  nonverbal Andrew. thank you for ur time)
    • triple win actually bc then it’s easy to tug neil closer for a kiss. Nice.
  • he grabs Neil’s clothes almost all the time, like when they’re sitting next to each other on the couch or in a booth, just to remind Neil that he’s there and to remind himself of the same thing
  • sometimes he just hooks a finger in Neil’s collar and sometimes his whole fucking hand is just splayed across Neil’s chest. 
    • He does the whole arm-around-the-shoulder thing when they’re chilling together at home and his arm wraps so far around Neil his hand is resting against Neil’s chest, under his shirt.
  • Neither one will say it but it makes them both feel safe. Andrew can feel Neil’s heart beating steadily and Neil feels the warm, solid weight of Andrew’s hand holding the scarred mess of his skin together. 
  • once when they’re in a big crowd and they’re trying to move quickly Andrew almost gets separated from Neil but nope. he hooks his fingers in the back of Neil’s sweatshirt. Can’t lose him if he’s got a handful of his shirt.
  • Andrew has also been known to hook his fingers thru Neil’s belt loops when they’re walking in a crowd
  • picture this please: Andrew, exy badass, no one has seen him smile ever, stoically silent and judgmental At All Times. and more often then not he’s walking on the court with one fist balled up in the back of his boyfriend’s jersey. adorable.

*whispers* sleepy andrew in the morning walking around in neil’s sweatpants, walking on the hem bc his boyfriend’s legs are too long

  • andrew gets rly cold feet ok
  • and bc he likes to be difficult his natural reaction isn’t to put on socks
  • oh no
  • his reaction is: longer pants
  • aka neil’s pants
  • now neil isn’t that much taller than andrew but three inches makes a difference ok
  • just enough to cover andrew’s feet and keep them nice and warm
  • neil doesn’t realise at first bc they share a room and their clothes tend to get mixed up a lot so he doesn’t think andrew is making a conscious decision to wear his clothes
  • except one morning
  • andrew gets up before him and neil is still in bed
  • he wakes up to find andrew at the dresser, his own pants in his hand
  • andrew considers them for a minute before throwing them aside and digging around in the drawer until he finds a pair of neil’s sweatpants instead
  • he freezes when he turns around and realises neil’s caught him
  • “you like wearing my clothes”
  • “shut up neil”
  • “it’s okay i like seeing you wear them”
  • “i don’t like wearing your clothes”
  • “then why’d you put on my sweats instead of yours”
  • cue andrew going silent for approximately forty-five seconds before he eventually admits his feet are cold
  • neil doesn’t tease him but gOD he wants to
  • bc that is so cute
  • his bf is so Cute
  • instead he just grins to himself until andrew hits him with a pillow
  • now neil pays extra attention every time andrew wears his clothes
  • like when they’re both sitting on the couch in columbia watching tv and eating breakfast and he notices andrew’s feet hidden inside the hem of the pants 
  • so he sets his bowl of cereal aside and takes andrew’s ankles and tucks his feet under his own legs to keep them extra warm
  • andrew glares at him but he doesn’t move his feet 
  • and omg
  • imagine poor andrew coming into the kitchen one morning all sleepy and tripping over the hem and almost falling 
  • neil puts his exy reflexes to good use and catches him but omg andrew doesn’t blush but he’s blushing on the inside
  • neil just gives him a crooked smile and says “coffee’s ready”
  • eventually it evolves into more than just the sweatpants stealing
  • whenever neil sees andrew give so much as the tiniest shiver he’s instantly shucking off his hoodie and offering it to andrew
  • andrew kinda feels bad always taking neil’s stuff and he hates owing people 
  • so one day he just comes into the living room and dumps his favourite pair of sweatpants into neil’s lap without a word
  • they’re too short
  • neil still wears them all the time though
