i’m in a salty mood right now so in an uncharacteristic fashion, i’m gonna make a post about how salty i am. some of y’all need to stop painting neil as a dumb oblivious baby with no clue how to live like a human being. sure he’s not exactly your typical joe, and sure the jokes and memes are funny, but if i have to read about how neil doesn’t know how to use the internet or how he’s set fire in the kitchen one more time i’m gonna launch myself into the sun. my dude. my guy. my bitch. not only does he canonically use the internet on a regular basis to skim the news, but he. is literally. a runaway with countless of identities. who depends on appearing normal. for survival. who also needs to know basic survival skills to. you know. Survive. you’re telling me he won’t know how to use a smartphone when he inevitably upgrades to one?? that he won’t pick up pop culture references from being around people his age during his time on the run so as to keep up appearances?? sure he’s averse to phones in the beginning but he’s a quick learner. he’s stupid sure, as he says so himself and as other characters have pointed out, but he’s stupid in a different sense. he’s travelled around!! he’s lived in different communities!! he hasn’t been living under a fucking rock!!!
