What cracks me up is that most teams have a conduct code to follow and hide their partying from their coaches and meanwhile here’s Wymack, looking at the camera like he’s on The Office, with his Foxes drinking and smoking and committing felonies of all gravity in the background, going “What I don’t know won’t hurt me, and what doesn’t hurt them I don’t want to know.”

Wymack was one of the only men in Andrew’s life that he trusted. Like, this kid started off being abandoned by an indifferent mother that led to him being constantly sexually and physically abused by the subsequent males in his life. Male authority figures have failed him. Peers and relatives didn’t understand him.

And then he meets this hard-ass soft shell egg of a coach, who is male, that respect boundaries, follow throughs on promises and bets, and allows for otherwise frowned upon quirks and act outs just because he knew that this was a path not that had not been given choice but a recovery that was chosen.
