Nicky’s blog is full of bottom memes and he rants in the tags and keysmashes. Allison’s filled with selfies and screenshots of ppl that thrist followed her and sent her dms and she doesnt even censor their urls. Renee’s all pastel and filled with asks of people asking for life advice because she’s always so nice to everyone. Matt’s one is all about music/sports and selfies with Dan, he reblogs her selfies with an all caps caption most of the time. Dan’s mostly a liveblog of events that happen in the fox tower, she has videos and pics of her teammates no one knew existed until they see it on her blog. Aaron is pretty much like everyone’s, selfies with Katelyn, aesthetic shit, book quotes, but he has a lot of posts (some readmores)… the guy wont stop complaining about everything, then he tags said shit as “dont read”
Kevin barely says a word on his exy-filled blog, he’s a phantom, a reblog machine. He gets asks though, and he gives a fucking long ass reply every time, threatens whoever sent it to read all of it. Neil and Andrew post every once in a while, and they’re the ones that get more anon hate for some reason. Neil replies to every single one with something even more clever, maybe someday he just says “the FBI can give me your IP address and you’ll be doxxed” and he suddenly doesnt get a single anon. Andrew after getting so many he replies to just one. “I know who you are” the messages stop right after that. Does he really know? i dont know, but the anon is terrified
I really think just dismissing neil as stupid is a disservice to his character because…..he really isnt? He’s not even really an idiot around people he’s just literally never encountered people that dont want to hurt him b4 and is working off of practically no base of reference.
Not to mention mary definitely conditioned him to be codependant and believe he’s completely useless on his own. Like he’s a deeply traumatised teenager who’s been raised his whole life to believe he needs somone to tell him what to do because he’s worthless on his own and I think that colours a hell of a lot of how he thinks of his own competence outside of exy.
Also neil makes stupid decisions not bc he doesnt know how to make better safer ones bc he does he just doesnt want to. Neil Josten is not dependent on Andrew for survival in the slightest. Andrew gave neil an anchor and a key but neil could have and would have survived on his own. He stays with andrew because he wants to certainly not because he needs to and I think that was a first (seconds rlly bc yknow Nicky) for andrew to have someone stay and keep staying just cos they want to spend time with him.
Just yeah neil makes stupid choices and isnt great in non hostile situations but he’s not stupid ya feel?
Having reached 100 followers (in only two months, wow, guys!!!) I decided to make a post about my thoughts on Aftg since I have not yet read it. This has vaguely been inspired by a post from @saltierthanbottomofapretzelbag about trc, sooo buckle up and get ready! ^^
Neil: Sad boi? Definitely has many scars and even more issues. Loves exy (which is some crazy fictional sport involving raquets? And bodily harm?) and the color orange. Maybe a bit to much. His mum dies at the beginning? No idea what his dad does… Gay. And Mafia…
Andrew: Smoll? And angry. Like really angry. Likes sweets, hates hugs? Does this character thing where they seemingly hate everybody but secretly loves them. Has a twin. Is gay for Neil— likes cats? hates cats? Not sure on that one. Was in foster care.
Andreil is their shipname. They are canon but act as if they are not together? Fake rivality? No idea if that is just fanon or actual canon…
Aaron: Also small and weird. Andrews twin. Has a girlfriend? Not much more. I have no idea what Aaron does with his life… sorry
Nicky: Is the cousin of the smoll twins? Also hella gay? I think he has a boyfriend in Germany. Erik? They are cute together. He went to conversion therapy and was a prostitute for a while… I guess? Also he loves the twins?
Kevin: Really into exy… tall… has a number tattooed on his face. And a girlfriend? Not sure on that one. He was with the bad guys at some point, though… right?
Renee: Lesbian???
Wymack: The coach? Big dude, dad of Kevin? He seems harsh but is the literal dad of like half of them!

That is all I have gathered about Aftg only from looking at fan art, headcanons and short fic excerpts that sneek themselves onto my dash! None of them explained why all of these characters seem to be able to speak like a thousand languages, though…
