Andrew: knows how to bake the best desserts on the planet, can make home made icecream with every flavour. On the other hand he’d burn the house down trying to boil some eggs.
Neil: never learned how to cook by recipe but he is the best at just taking whatever’s in the fridge and transforming it into something absolutely delicious.
Kevin: Thinks mixing protein shakes should count as cooking.
Aaron: Learned how to cook on dish well to impress Katelyn. Has since then improved that dish to perfection. He would probably get a Michelin star for it. Barely knows how to not burn pasta otherwise.
Nicky: The true college cooking experience™. Boils instant ramen in the water kettle itself. Uses his newly found freedom from not being around adults to mix the weirdest things together. That includes putting gummy bears on pizza.
Matt: The second college cooking experience™ but less intense. Makes home made pasta pizza. Once tried to make a sauce out of protein shake powder. Eats vegetables with nutella cause it’s still kinda healthy, in a way.
Dan: Has a repertoire of reciepes from all over the world from her stage sisters and enjoys cooking for the rest of the group. A lot of peasant dishes that can feed a lot of people and keep them full for a long time.
Renée: Also baking but goes around asking what people like and tries to learn how to make those so whenever Dan cooks she can make desserts and everyone gets what they want over time. Has baking parties with Abby.
Allison: High cuisine. Learned it from the chefs at her parents house. Misses having good kitchens where you can actually cook a decent meal in. Once tried to get the others to eat snails with her. Didn’t go down very well.
Andrew: Life is pointless. It would be better if we all just didn’t exis-
Neil: *laughing somewhere in the background*
Andrew: Life is a gift and we need to appreciate every moment.
There’s nothing quite like a catchy but fairly mediocre pop track about being in love with the literal physical outline of an unknown woman’s body, sung by British everyman and erstwhile Game of Thrones cast member Ed Sheeran, taking the trophy for Best Pop Solo Performance at the Grammys to hammer home the values of the world we currently live in.
The category’s other contenders — Kelly Clarkson, Lady Gaga, P!nk and Kesha — provided fierce competition not only vocally, but lyrically, touching on themes of political division, strength in the face of heartbreak and how to forgive your rapist.
Many expected (or hoped) Kesha would take home the prize for her incredible vocal performance with “Praying.” Not only did “Praying” show off vocal ability even few diehard fans knew Kesha possessed, with entire Youtube reaction videos dedicated to people crying immediately upon hearing her hit the track’s climactic high note/otherworldly whistle, but the song is also particularly timely, with its themes of overcoming a relationship of sexual and emotional abuse.
Given that Sheeran wasn’t even in attendance to accept the award, it’s a shame to think of the missed opportunity the moment could have been, had it been used to shine a light on a more meaningful winner.
