Concept: Nicky, wearing a “SAY HEY IF YOU’RE GAY” shirt. Andrew, walking downstairs, looking at his shirt, and saying “Hey” before going into the kitchen and grabbing something that’s probably not suitable breakfast food.

All of this takes place before Palmetto, but Nicky is so stunned that Andrew acknowledged him that he completly forgot about the shirt he was wearing.

Thus subsequently didn’t realize that Andrew had in fact just come out to him.

Alvarez is pretty sure she’s nailing this.

“And that’s why none of my friends call me by my first name.” She chuckles, rubbing her palms against her thighs from under the table. “So just – yeah, just call me Alvarez. Yeah.”

Across from her, Laila raises an eyebrow. “Sure,” she says, mouth quirked in a hint of a smile. Her lipstick is the color of blackberries, and it’s very, very distracting.

Alvarez chuckles again, taking a long sip of her iced lemon tea.

To answer anon’s question – it’s about Laila and Alvarez! It’s my first time writing them and I don’t have a lot written yet, only parts where Alvarez is being a disaster lesbian, but I hope I can do them justice. It’s exciting to write them, I think, since we know very little about them in canon – imagine the Possibilites.

Oh oh oh, just saw your WIPS post. I LOVE a world alone, so am thrilled to see half are an extension of that story. (Is the high school au a storyline?) Based on some of your other posts, it looks like you’re starting w/Nicky’s POV. Wonderful! If you ever continue with Neil’s storyline, I’m pretty sure I’d drop everything to read it. Thx for your works!

I’m so glad you like a world alone! I have three extra chapters planned for it (and yes, one of them is going to be in Neil’s POV!) and I hope I can get them done before the year ends :’) 

The first part of the high school au can be found here, and the second part here. I wrote them so that they can be read as stand-alones, but I’ve decided to write a part 3 because a few people have requested it 🙂

Sun and Mercury

Inktober day 7 & 8

Originally I was writing drabbles to the Atlas album by Sleeping at Last and  making these inktobers as companions to the stories (and I still am). But, it’s taking too much of my brain power away from the Figure Skating AU, so they’ve been put on the back burner for the time being. Nonetheless, Here are my Andreil Inktobers so far 🙂 I still have a dozen or so of these to go.

*Done with crappy Pentel RSVP pens. Then popped into photoshop to mess with color and add in the metallic/planetary flourishes. Am I allowed to do that? Oh well. Also, I havent done anything traditional in over a year and a half. What is fine art? How does one do it? Idk, but these are done within 30 minutes because I’m reminded how much I hate sketching and how much I appreciate digital media.
