☆neil: what is ‘dabbing’ kevin: absolutely not
☆kevin has to chop vegetables into tiny pieces and sneak them into neils dinners because his eating habits are shit
☆they go grocery shopping together and neil keeps putting junk food in the cart and kevin keeps shoving it back onto random shelves with varying levels of rage

☆neil watches chopped and kevin loses his mind because neil will drag a contestant for mixing caviar with peppers while at the same time eating like mac n cheese with nutella

1) a world alone – y’all are probably sick to death of listening to me talk about this teacher au, but here I go again. It’s rare that I’m satisfied with the things I write, but I ended up liking this fic a lot; it’s ridiculous in some ways, but it’s – borrowing someone else’s words – “sweet and charming”. I had intended it to be romantic-ish and full of silly flirting, and I’m glad that I managed to pull it off. We have English Lit. teacher Andrew who likes Jane Austen and is essentially a soccer mom to Nicky and Kevin!! French/German teacher Neil who dances with his cat in the kitchen!! Definitely my proudest moments tbh

2) time and tide (might just wait for you) – y’all are sleeping on this fic :// lol no but for real, I’m kinda proud of this one too, because it’s one of the rare times where I stick super closely to canon (the fic is canon-compliant so). It’s also my first AFTG fic and the first thing I wrote after a long writing hiatus, AND it’s in Andrew’s POV, both when he was on his meds and after. I totally thought it was crap at first, but I grew to like it over time. I think I just like writing about Andrew pining over Neil ¯_(ツ)_/¯

3) groundswell waves – I’m still undecided on this fic tbh. I’m working towards increasing my love towards it because it has motorcycle-riding librarian Andrew and surfer Neil and a cat called Cabbage in it, so like. Great premise there, but probably not the best execution. It’s light-hearted and fun though, which is what I wanted it to be. And it has a super fucking cool fanart made for it so that’s why it’s on this list yee haw

4) maybe i’m defective, maybe i’m dumb series – uhh it’s the only time I’ve written sort of a reverse dynamic between Andrew and Neil and I gotta say – it’s shitloads of fun. I’d been super #blessed because the original creator of this verse allowed me to write fic based on their art. Also I get to write about Andrew thirsting over Neil in fishnets and leotard and high heels, so like. Yeah. I definitely had fun with this AU, even though I still have some issues with the second part. Anyway. Neil kicks somebody’s ass in a pair of stilettos that Andrew gave him so y’all should go read this series byeee

5) the spaces between my fingers – I’m a bit embarrassed by this fic because I feel that I was trying too hard with it, but it has a special place in my heart because it was the first “long” fic that I’d ever written. I also enjoyed writing about a more mature Bokuto who pines over Akaashi while also dealing with his own personal issues. It’s been more than 3 years since I completed it…who am I……
