Andrews characterization is so weird because he isn’t a good person. Like he’s actually an awful person but you learn to understand that’s it’s due to years in a cycle of abuse and also the consequences of stigmatization of mental illness with violent side effects. He has a tragic back story and it’s refreshing to see somehow who didn’t turn out better on the other side, because most of the time that’s not how it works. He’s mean and violent and thinks in a mostly black and white way, but he means well with his intentions. The way he thinks is very selfish but at the same time not at all. He’s such a dynamic and one of a kind character that you can’t help but admire how Nora wrote him.
