This article on tor.com mentions the names of the production company that picked up the show and the people who are involved with it so far. Here’s a quick analysis of what shows/networks/etc are involved with those, so we can get an idea of where this might be going.

Universal Cable Productions is an NBC subsidiary that seems to work primarily with the networks USA and Syfy. Notable USA shows associated with UCP are Psych, Covert Affairs, Suits, Playing House, Mr. Robot, and Eyewitness. Some notable Syfy shows associated with them are Warehouse 13, Caprica, and The Magicians. UCP has also put shows to series on MTV, Hulu, E!, Lifetime, and Bravo, but those tend to be one-offs.
