• kevin and neil are always yelling at each other on court, but when the game/practice is over, they’re the first to pat the other on the back and say “good game” or “could’ve been worse” or “nice work”
• they always do grocery runs together, because kevin wants to grab healthy food and because andrew sends neil to make sure he gets his candy
• for kevin’s birthday neil gets him a trojan’s shirt and a bottle of vodka
• for neil’s birthday kevin gets him running shoes and a weekend alone with andrew in their dorm room
• neil chewed out a reporter who was telling kevin off for not attending riko’s funeral, and when he finally stopped to take a deep breath, he was literally dragged away by wymack before he could continue
• the first time neil gets drunk at eden’s twilight, him and kevin became best friends for the night, dancing, taking selfies, and nicky has photographic proof of kevin kissing neil on the cheek, an event kevin will deny happening until the day he dies
• he also denies cuddling neil in while they slept on the bus after a long game but that’s another story
• they both go to exites together once a month to check out the new equipment, and every time they get back the rest of the foxes always ask them how their date was
• kevin always competes with neil on the treadmill in the workout room, and only won once (because neil got distracted staring at andrew’s biceps when he began benchpressing and had to stop and redirect his thoughts)
• one time kevin walked in while neil was having a panic attack about riko, and when he realized andrew was still in class, he calmed neil down himself by whispering gentle words to him in french
• they then sat on the couch for the entire duration of finding nemo and finding dory because kevin knows that they’re neil’s favourite
• when neil was accepted into his pro team right after he graduated, a few tears escaped kevin’s eyes because here was this boy, who didn’t think he’d live to be 20, holding his future in an envelope in his hands
